Steve and Melody Barons run a Keto coaching, training and support site called Tactical Kitchen. Having been asked a few times about the concept of a Zero Carb Diet by members of their group, they felt that the only way they could give a meaningful answer was to have actually tried it. An initial 30 day experiment is now up to 70 days and counting.
I got a chance to talk to them about it and my first question was how difficult they had found it implement. Melody had been the most concerned of the two of them since she loved veggies. “But in the end it was really easy”, she said. “Cooking and eating a ribeye steak with butter is really simple…. and it NEVER gets old!”
Once we covered how easy it was, and how enjoyable, we moved onto what it did for them. There were a number of changes they saw including the fact that both of them now sleep through the night without needing to get up to go to the toilet. For the benefit of those of you who have not reached ‘that age’ yet, this is huge!
They had a complete blood work panel done around day 32 and we had been waiting in eager anticipation for the results before we did this interview. How did the Zero Carb Diet affect their lipid profiles and inflammation markers? You can hear more about it in the video, but suffice to say that the results were truly awesome!
Steve and Melody will be at our event in San Diego in July. Come and meet them and many others like them. Maybe we will even find space in one of the breakout sessions to hear an update on their journey!
