One of the first things he did when he got back from our conference in San Diego in July 2017 was to call his good friend, Jeff Kotterman, who is the president of the National Association of Sports Nutrition (NASN).
“You’ve got it all wrong”, Dr. Lenzkes told him, “you shouldn’t be feeding your athletes carbohydrates”. Obviously Jeff totally disagreed but after a lengthy discussion he was convinced to go back and look at the evidence. He looked into it thoroughly and came to the conclusion that he was, in fact, wrong and proceeded to rewrite the curriculum of his course for the National Association of Sports Nutrition.
You can learn more about all the courses offered by the NASN here.
